Dance and the performing arts have always been my passion since I started dancing at the young age of 6 years old. When I took over Studio A four years ago, I dreamt of sharing this passion with young people and supporting them as they learnt important skills that go beyond just developing their ability in performing arts. Skills that make an incredible and valuable difference to their confidence and their future success, regardless of whether they choose to pursue a career in dance or theatre.
This school holds a special place in my heart. I grew up dancing in this school back when it was called The Dance Centre in 1987 under the guidance of Gailene Colson-Howe . I am now the proud owner of this school and am thrilled to lead this next generation on their journey in life. We are a school for the recreational dancer and the more dedicated dancer and here at Studio A we cater for all levels and ages. We offer a variety of dance styles, singing, acrobatics, cheerleading and much more who are taught by either working professionals today or ex professional dancers.
I believe that with support, encouragement and nurturing all kids have the same potential to become someone who they can be proud of. If we work with them our youth will help us to build something special for our community – a better future.
